Love Food Hate Waste: West London Waste Library Tour - Food Waste

Come along and talk to us about waste and recycling. We will be sharing practical hints, tips and ideas to help make the most of the food that you buy. As well as ideas you can try at home you could take away recipe cards, a bag clip, spaghetti measurer, a meal planner or food waste diary. Check out how you can recycle clothes and electrical items and find out about the West London nappy pack which gives parents the chance to try washable nappies for free.

Black History Month Talk by Nick Dobson: Mary Seacole and Florence Nightingale: two extraordinary V

Amazingly the two most enduring personalities to emerge from the Crimean War were both women. In recent years, the reputations of Mary Seacole and Florence Nightingale have controversially changed.  This illustrated talk will examine the careers of these pioneers of battlefield nursing to cut through the controversy and re-evaluate their place in history.
