Comics Plus logoComics Plus

  • Access thousands of digital graphic novels and comics with Comics Plus using any PC or device with an internet connection. 
  • You will need your library card number and email address to set up your account. If you already have an account for our Zinio magazine collection you do not need to join again. You can use your existing Zinio login details to access Comics Plus.
  • Items are loaned for one week and can be renewed as many times as you wish.

  • Parental guidance: graphic novels and comics on ComicsPlus are suitable for under 18s but some material may be more appropriate for young people aged 13+. Age guidance is available for each magazine.

Times Digital ArchiveTimes Digital Archive

Researchers can search through the complete digital edition of The Times (London), using keyword searching and hit-term highlighting to retrieve full facsimile images of either a specific article or a complete page. The entire newspaper is captured, with all articles, advertisements and illustrations/photos divided into categories to facilitate searching.
You will be asked for your library card number. This should be preceded by EAL eg EAL123456789.

John Johnson CollectionJohn Johnson Collection

This collection provides access to thousands of items selected from the John Johnson Collection of Printed Ephemera, offering unique insights into the changing nature of everyday life in Britain in the eighteenth, nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Categories include Nineteenth-Century Entertainment, the Booktrade, Popular Prints, Crimes, Murders and Executions, and Advertising.
